Is the only reason a sprint has not yet broken out on the dollar due to the other possible challengers such as the Euro and Chinese Yuan seeing their own simultaneous massive printing of money/debt in their own economies and SDR(special drawing rights) at the IMF being inadequately deep and itself a derivative of member countries own currencies? What other steps does China have to take to position the Yuan for eventual reserve currency status other than what the video seems to indicate to be waiting out US internal strife or winning out in an eventual showdown where US retreats or is defeated? It has replicated some of the institutions that would be needed in such a transition with the AIIB in 2014 but does not seem willing to make its currency under the capital account fully convertible due to concerns of introducing instability in its market. What other currency can serve as a viable challenger to the US Dollar? Video implies the Chinese Yuan.
